Niina Hiltunen juried to The 7th Riga International Triennial of Textile and Fiber Art Tradition&Innovation 2023

Kädet kertovat (Talking Hands) art textile by textile artist Niina Hiltunen and video textile by Hiltunen, Kyytinen, Malviniemi and Silén have been juried to the 7th Riga International Triennial of Textile and Fiber Art Tradition&Innovation! The triennial will be held in June 15 – September 17, 2023 in the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design and in the Art Museum RIGA BOURSE.

 

The Selection Jury received and judged 273 entries from 43 countries. In the Triennial will be included 79 artworks, representing 30 countries.

 

The international Jury panel consisted of 6 experts. Three of the Jury panel were experts from the Latvian National Art Museum: Inese Baranovska (Head of the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design), Vita Birzaka (Deputy Head of the Art Museum “Riga Bourse”), Velta Raudzepa (Head of Collections of the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design).
